The Audition is an independent pop-punk/emo band from Chicago who approached me in anticipation of their upcoming reunion show in Chicago. They were in a bit of tough spot having lost access to their verified social media accounts since disbanding 7 years ago. The goal was to recreate their social profiles and gain verification to increase advertising potential as part of a promotional campaign.

I developed their artist website and a social posting and community outreach strategy that surpassed their original follower amounts on Instagram, gained verification for the Facebook page and obtained control of their Spotify artist profile. 95% of this was accomplished organically without the use of an advertising budget. These steps opened the door for advertising opportunities through Spotify and Bands In Town which were critical to the Chicago show as well as any future show’s success. All digital photo and video content was created or coordinated by me with collaboration from the artist.

Working freelance I designed and developed the company website for a few local businesses while finishing up my Bachelors degree at Illinois State University. Utilizing my photography and graphic design skills I worked with the shop owners and employees to breathe life into their online presence. I also integrated SEO best practices to ensure their business was easily discoverable online. The new site and steps I took generated a noticeable uptick in traffic and new business to the shops.
